As of Monday, April 19, Vermonters ages 16 and older are eligible to make an appointment to get the COVID vaccination.

Vermont hopes to open vaccine eligibility to college students who live in another state and will not remain in Vermont for the summer on April 30. Until then, the following college students can make an appointment: those employed at a facility where staff is currently eligible, those who plan to live in Vermont over the summer, and those who moved to Vermont in the past six months and intend on becoming a resident.

Champlain College has had a limited number of cases over the past year, and don’t currently require a vaccination, but highly recommend it for the upcoming semester. The college is projecting that even students who are fully vaccinated will have to wear masks in the fall semester, unless precautions change.
