On Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, the Champlain College Student Government Association announced on Instagram that they, with the approval of Sodexo, had slightly changed the dining hall’s protocol, allowing students to take out handheld items such as bagels, sandwiches, and pizza slices. This announcement comes after a 400+ signature petition revealed issues regarding health, convenience, and general student satisfaction with the dining hall experience. This change does not convey all the problems revealed by students in the petition, but it does partially address the need for takeout options that would benefit students with tight schedules.
